The Pilea peperomioides is native to China and is commonly called the Chinese Money Plant, Pancake Plant, Missionary Plant or UFO Plant. The Chinese Money Plant is an erect, succulent evergreen perennial. It has attractive bright green pancake-shaped leaves (hence why its is sometimes called Pancake Plant) balancing on long slender stems. The branch axis is greenish to dark brown.
